Patty reviews 'Snow White' live-action movie

Hollywood’s love affair with remakes and reboots has been widely criticized, with many offering little more than updated visuals and a nostalgic sense of familiarity. But Patty says Disney’s live-action version of “Snow White” offers something a bit different. Here's her review from her Life.Style.LIVE! segment:

The original “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” centered on a young princess who is ordered killed by her evil stepmother, only to be spared and find refuge with seven dwarfs, before succumbing to a poisoned apple. The plot, as expected, remains largely intact, but the 2025 version breathes new life into these iconic characters.

While the dwarfs were beloved in the original, they now take on more varied and magical forms, some even defying traditional expectations. One of the dwarfs, for instance, is revealed to be a female character a departure that has already stirred controversy among fans of the original. Critics argue that the reimagining of the dwarfs dilutes their original significance, but others appreciate the fresh perspective.

At the heart of this new “Snow White” is Rachel Zegler, who stars as the titular princess. Zegler, whose casting sparked an online firestorm due to her Latina background.
